MTCC-Asia funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) will hold its 2019 National Workshop will be held from 23rd to 27th September in Mumbai, India, jointly organized by Shanghai Maritime University and Directorate General of Shipping of India.
20 trainees from the Directorate General of Shipping of India would participate in the workshop. MTCC-Asia technical officers, together with experts from the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport of China and the Directorate General of Shipping of India will introduce to the trainees the latest technology, management and practical innovations achieved in the field of ship energy efficiency and emission control. In particular, the challenges encountered and efforts made by China and India to control GHG emission and improve ship energy efficiency would be communicated.
The Train the Trainer Course would be held afterwards, aiming at helping India to further improve their capacity of maritime education and training.
