MTCC-Asia Second Regional Workshop will be held from 30th September to 2nd October in Yangon, Myanmar. The workshop is jointly organized by MTCC-Asia which is funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Maritime Organization, Shanghai Maritime University, Ministry of Transport of China and Department of Marine Administration of Myanmar.
The second regional workshop is one of the most important events organized by MTCC-Asia since its launch in 2017. During the workshop, MTCC-Asia will demonstrate their achievements made in technology innovation, capacity building, regional outreach, exchange and communications during the past three years. In particular, the research results and outcomes of the two pilot projects will be highlighted. Reports and Guidelines of the two pilot projects will be released and distributed as well.
Dr. Jose Matheickal, the Deputy Director of IMO Marine Environment Division, together with other two IMO officials and Mr. Johann Hesse from the European Union are invited to attend and make keynote speeches. Besides, more than 50 high-level maritime officials, industry elites and academia representatives from 15 different Asian countries are expected to attend the workshop.
