COSCO Shipping Group and Charoen Pokphand Group, Fulcrum Group Sign Memorandum of Understanding on Green Methanol Production

On November 15th, COSCO Shipping Group, Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd. from Thailand, and Fulcrum Group from the United States jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on green methanol production. The three parties will further leverage their respective strengths, enhance synergies, and establish a comprehensive partnership. The successful signing of this MoU marks an important milestone in the strategic cooperation among the three parties and will initiate a new chapter in the production and application of green shipping fuels.

According to the agreement, the three parties will continue to deepen their cooperation in areas such as green energy for shipping. By utilizing the abundant biomass resources in Southeast Asia and adopting leading-edge technology, they aim to create a green methanol production base that meets European Union standards. This initiative will effectively support COSCO Shipping Group's process of renewable energy substitution and promote the optimization and upgrading of the energy structure.

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is a vivid example of globalization in the field of green and low-carbon initiatives. The three parties will continue to deepen their strategic cooperation, assist in the low-carbon transformation of the global shipping industry, set new benchmarks for industry development, and jointly promote the green and low-carbon transformation and development.
